Liverpool Labour committed to cleaning up 1,000 extra grot spots in our first year in charge. We kept this promise, and we will continue to clean up some of the city’s worst grot spots in years to come.

Despite massive Lib Dem-Tory Government cuts that have put local services under heavy pressure, we aim to maintain high service levels for the collection of bins throughout the city.

We will continue to campaign to drive up recycling rates throughout Liverpool, and to make Liverpool Europe’s greenest city.

Liverpool Labour believes that the City Council needs to lead the way when it comes to tackling carbon emissions. We are an environmentally friendly council, and want to lead an environmentall friendly city.
